PushTone Sets Custom Notification Alert Tones by App

From Lifehacker:

iOS (Jailbroken): All notifications make the same sound on iPhones and it’s impossible to distinguish between your alerts. PushTone is a jailbreak tweak that adds the ability to set up custom tones for each app.

One of the big problems with using notifications on an iPhone is that they all make the same tone. You can’t differentiate between notifications that need your attention and ones that don’t. Assigning custom tones to individual apps is a way to cut down on the random glances at your phone because it helps you immediately recognize the app calling for your attention. PushTone integrates directly into the notifications section in the settings menu and you can assign any tone you like. It’s a $1.99 download in the Big Boss Repository, but the ease of use makes the price worthwhile if it’s a feature you’re interested in.
